Chicken Dry Roast

  • Chicken 500 gms
  • Dahi (Yogurt) 1 Cup
  • Adrak lehsan paste (Ginger garlic paste) 1 tbs
  • Kashmiri lal mirch powder (Kashmiri red chili powder) 1 & ½ tsp
  • Dhania (Coriander seeds) roasted & crushed 1 & ½ tsp
  • Zeera (Cumin seeds) roasted & crushed ½ tsp
  • Kali mirch powder (Black pepper powder) 1 tsp
  • Haldee powder (Turmeric powder) ¼ tsp
  • Namak (Salt) 1 tsp or to taste
  • Lemon juice 1 tbs
  • Oil 4-5 tbs
  • Hari mirch (Green chilies) 2-3
  • Curry pata (Curry leaves) 10-12
  • Pyaz (Onion) chopped 1 large


In bowl,add chicken,dahi,ginger garlic powder,kashmiri red chili powder,coriander seeds,cumin seeds, black pepper powder,turmeric powder,salt and lemon juice,mix well and marinate for 1 hour.

In pot,add oil,green chilies,curry leaves and mix well.

Add onion and fry until light golden.

Add marinated chicken,mix well for 2 minutes and cook until chicken is done (approx.20 minutes on low flame) and keep mixing in between until water dries & oil separates.
