Cream French Toast Casserole

Ingredients:

  • Makhan (Butter) melted

Prepare Egg & Cream Mixture:

  • Doodh (Milk) warm 1 Cup
  • Sugar 3-4 tbs
  • Anday (Eggs) 6
  • Darchini powder (Cinnamon powder) 1 tsp
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • Olper’s Dairy Cream 200ml (room temperature)
  • French bread 1 large

Prepare Topping:

  • Brown sugar powdered 1/3 Cup
  • Maida (All-purpose flour) 1/3 Cup
  • Darchini powder (Cinnamon powder) 1 tsp
  • Makhan (Butter) 1/3 Cup

Prepare Cream Sauce:

  • Doodh (Milk) 1 Cup
  • Cornflour 1 & ½ tbs
  • Sugar 4 tbs or to taste
  • Makhan (Butter) 2 tbs
  • Vanilla essence ½ tbs
  • Namak (Salt) 1 pinch
  • Olper’s Dairy Cream ½ Cup (room temperature)
  • Akhrot (Walnuts) roughly chopped

Directions:

Grease 8 x 12” inch casserole with melted butter & set aside.

Prepare Egg & Cream Mixture:

In a jug,add milk,sugar & whisk well.

Add eggs,cinnamon powder,vanilla essence and cream,whisk well & set aside.

Cut French bread into small cubes.

On a greased casserole,add French bread cubes,pour prepared egg & cream mixture,press gently and cover with cling film & refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Prepare Topping:

In a bowl,add brown sugar,all-purpose flour,cinnamon powder & mix well.

Add butter & mix well until crumbled.

Take out casserole from refrigerator & remove cling film.

Sprinkle the prepared topping over the soaked bread & bake in preheated oven at 180C for 35-40 minutes (both grills on).

Take out from oven & let it cool for 15-20 minutes.

Prepare Cream Sauce:

In a saucepan,add milk,cornflour,sugar & whisk well.

Turn on the flame & cook on medium flame until sauce is thick & mix continuously.

Add butter,vanilla essence,salt & whisk well.

Turn off the flame,add cream & whisk until well combined.

Let it cool completely and transfer to a squeeze bottle.

Drizzle prepared cream sauce and add walnut.

Cut into pieces & serve!
