Prepare Mexican Fruit Tea:

  • Imli (Sweet tamarind) 2 pods
  • Cherries ½ Cup or as required
  • Apple deseeded 1 medium
  • Darchini (Cinnamon sticks) 2
  • Brown sugar 4 tbs
  • Water 2 Cups
  • Lemon juice 2 tbs
  • Lemon zest 1 tsp


  • Cherries deseeded 4-5
  • Ice cubes
  • 7up


Prepare Mexican Fruit Tea:

Remove sweet tamarind from its shell & set aside.

Deseed cherries with the help of straw.

In a kettle,add cherries,apple,sweet tamarind,cinnamon sticks,brown sugar,water,lemon juice,lemon zest,mix well & bring it to boil & cook on low flame for 4-5 minutes then strain.Mexican fruit tea is ready!

Let it cool.


In a serving glass,add cherries & muddle with the help of muddler.

Add ice cubes,prepared Mexican fruit tea,7up & stir.

Garnish with cherries,lemon slice & serve!
