Crispy Pakora Fries

Ingredients:

  • Baisan (Gram flour) 1 & ½ Cup
  • Chawal ka atta (Rice flour) ½ Cup
  • Sabut dhania (Coriander seeds) roasted & crushed 1 tbs
  • Lal mirch powder (Red chilli powder) 1 & ½ tsp or to taste
  • Chaat masala 1 tsp
  • Namak (Salt) 1 & ½ tsp or to taste
  • Haldi powder (Turmeric powder) ½ tsp
  • Zeera (Cumin seeds) 1 tsp
  • Lal mirch (Red chilli) crushed ½ tbs
  • Ajwain (Carom seeds) ½ tsp
  • Baking soda 1 pinch
  • Zarda ka rang (Orange food color) 1 pinch
  • Water ½ Cup or as required
  • Aalo (Potatoes) large ½ kg (peeled)
  • Cooking oil for frying

Directions:

In a bowl,add gram flour,rice flour,coriander seeds,red chilli powder,chaat masala,salt,turmeric powder,cumin seeds,red chilli crushed,carom seeds,baking soda,orange food color & mix well.

Gradually add water & whisk until well combined,cover & let it rest for 10-15 minutes.

Cut potatoes into French fries shape.

Add potato fries & coat well.

In a wok,heat cooking oil & fry on medium flame until golden brown.

Sprinkle chaat masala & serve with tomato ketchup.
