Lahori Mutton Karhai

Ingredients:

  • Dahi (Yogurt) ½ Cup (room temperature)
  • Cream 2 tbs (room temperature)
  • Pani (Water) ½ Cup or as required
  • Lehsan paste (Garlic paste) 1 tbs
  • Haldee powder (Turmeric powder) ¼ tsp
  • Mutton mix boti ½ kg
  • Tamatar (Tomatoes) chopped 2 medium
  • Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or to taste
  • Sufi cooking oil ½ Cup
  • Lal mirch powder (Red chili powder) 1 tsp or to taste
  • Garam masala powder 1 tsp
  • Hari mirch (Green chilies) chopped 2-3
  • Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped
  • Adrak (Ginger) julienne

  • Hari mirch (Green chilies)

Directions:

In bowl,add yogurt and cream,whisk well & set aside.

In wok,add water,garlic paste and mix well.

Add turmeric powder,mix and bring it to boil.

Add mutton mix boti,tomatoes,salt and mix well.

Cover and cook on medium low flame for 15-20 minutes then cook on high flame for 8-10 minutes.

Add sufi cooking oil,mix continuously and cook for 5 minutes.

Add red chili powder and mix well.

Add garam masala powder,mix well and cook until oil separates.

On low flame,add yogurt+cream mixture,mix continuously and cook for 3-4 minutes.

Add green chilies,fresh coriander and ginger,mix and cook on low flame until oil separates.

Garnish with fresh coriander,ginger,green chili & serve.
