Stuffed Naan Pockets

Ingredients:

Prepare Naan Dough:

  • Maida (All-purpose flour) sifted 3 Cups
  • Namak (Salt) 1 tsp
  • Bareek cheeni (Caster sugar) 1 & ½ tsp
  • Baking soda 1 & ½ tsp
  • Baking powder 2 tsp
  • Cooking oil 2 tbs
  • Dahi (Yogurt) 3-4 tbs
  • Pakola Full Cream Milk lukewarm ¾ Cup or as required

Prepare Filling:

  • Cooking oil 2-3 tbs
  • Hara pyaz (Green onion) white part chopped ¼ Cup
  • Qeema (Mince) Mutton/Beef 350g
  • Adrak lehsan paste (Ginger garlic paste) 1 & ½ tsp
  • Namak (Salt) 1 tsp or to taste
  • Lal mirch powder (Red chilli powder) 1 tsp or to taste
  • Zeera powder (Cumin powder) 1 tsp
  • Haldi powder (Turmeric powder) ¼ tsp
  • Kali mirch (Black pepper) crushed 1 tsp
  • Water ½ Cup or as required
  • Cream 3-4 tbs
  • Mayonnaise 3-4 tbs
  • Hara pyaz (Green onion) leaves chopped 1 & ½ Cup
  • Dahi (Yogurt) whisked 2 tbs
  • Pakola Full Cream Milk 1 tbs
  • Til (Sesame seeds) Black & white
  • Makhan (Butter) melted

Directions:

Prepare Naan Dough:

In a bowl,add all-purpose flour,salt,caster sugar,baking soda,baking powder & mix well.

Add cooking oil,yogurt & mix well until crumbled.

Gradually add milk,mix well & knead until dough is formed,cover & let it proof for 1 & ½ hour (warm place).

Prepare Filling:

In a wok,add cooking oil,green onion white part & sauté until translucent.

Add mince & mix well until it changes color.

Add ginger garlic paste & mix well.

Add salt,red chilli powder,cumin powder,turmeric powder,black pepper crushed,mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Add water and mix well,cover & cook on low flame or 8-10 minutes then cook on high flame until it dries up.

Turn off the flame,add cream,mayonnaise,green onion leaves,mix well & set aside.

Sprinkle dry flour & knead dough again until smooth.

Take a small dough (55g) and make a ball,sprinkle dry flour & roll out with the help of rolling pin.

On one side of the dough,add prepared filling 2 tbs,fold the side of the dough making d-shape and seal the edges with fork (makes 12).

In yogurt,add milk,whisk well & set aside.

On flour dusted baking tray,place prepared pockets,brush yogurt & milk mixture and sprinkle sesame seeds.

Bake in preheated oven at 160C for 15-16 minutes (both grills on).

After baking,apply melted butter on top & serve with chilli garlic sauce!
