Besan Masala Peanuts / Moongfali

Ingredients:

Prepare Spice Mix:

-Lal mirch powder (Red chilli powder) 1 tsp or to taste

-Kala namak (Black salt) ½ tsp

-Zeera powder (Cumin powder) ½ tsp

-Tatri (Citric acid) ½ tsp

-Dhania powder (Coriander powder) ½ tsp

-Saunf powder (Fennel powder) 1 pinch

-Namak (Salt) 1 pinch or to taste

-Water 3 Cups or as required

-Mongphali (Peanuts) raw 2 Cups

-Baisan (Gram flour) ¾ Cup

-Chawal ka atta (Rice flour) 2 tbs

-Lal mirch powder (Red chilli powder) 1 & ½ tsp or to taste

-Baking soda ¼ tsp

-Lehsan powder (Garlic powder) ½ tsp

-Chaat masala 1 & ½ tsp

-Haldi powder (Turmeric powder) 1 tsp

-Namak (Salt) 1 tsp or to taste

-Garam masala powder ½ tsp

-Cooking oil for frying

-Non-stick spray

 

Directions:

Prepare Spice Mix:

-In a bowl,add red chilli powder,black salt,cumin powder,citric acid,coriander powder,fennel powder,salt & mix well.Spice mix is ready!

-In a bowl,add water,peanuts & mix well then strain & set aside.

-In a bowl,add gram flour,rice flour,red chilli powder,baking soda,garlic powder,chaat masala, turmeric powder,salt,garam masala powder & mix well.

-Add peanuts & mix well.

-Gradually spray water & coat well.

Option # 1: Frying

-In a wok,heat cooking oil & fry coated peanuts on medium flame until golden brown.

-Sprinkle prepared spice mix & let them cool completely.

Option # 2: Air Fry

-Spray non-stick spray & air fry at 180C for 8 minutes.  

-Sprinkle prepared spice mix & let them cool completely.
