Ingredients:

-Nishasta (Wheat starch) 1 & ½ Cup

-Sooji (Semolina) 1 Cup

-Water 500ml

-Olper’s Tarrka Desi Ghee 1 Cup

-Sugar 1 & ½ Cup or to taste

-Elaichi powder (Cardamom powder) ½ tsp

-Badam (Almonds) sliced 2-3 tbs

-Pista (Pistachios) sliced 2-3 tbs

-Kewra essence ½ tsp

-Badam (Almonds) sliced

-Pista (Pistachios) sliced

-Chandi warq (Edible silver leaf)

 

Directions:

-In a grinder,add wheat starch pieces & grind to make powder.

-On a bowl,place a sifter,ground starch,semolina & sift together.

-Add water,mix well & set aside.

-In a wok,add desi ghee & let it melt.

-Add sugar,mix well & cook on low flame until sugar melts & turns brown (approx. 8-10 minutes).

-Add dissolved mixture,mix well & cook on low flame for 18-20 minutes & mix continuously.

-Add cardamom powder,almonds,pistachios,kewra essence,mix well & continue cooking until it leaves the sides of pot (10-12 minutes).

-Garnish with almonds,pistachios,edible silver leaf & serve!
