  • Gur (Jaggery) 1 Cup
  • Doodh (Milk) ½ Cup
  • Asli ghee (Pure clarified butter) 3-4 tbs
  • Hari elaichi (Green cardamom) 2-3
  • Saunf (Fennel seeds) 1 tbs
  • Badam (Almonds) peeled 15-20
  • Narial (Coconut) ¼ Cup
  • Chawal (Rice) basmati 1 Cup (soaked & boiled until 3/4th done)
  • Asli ghee (Pure clarified butter) 1 tsp


In saucepan,add jaggery and milk,mix well and cook until it melts & set aside.

In pot,add pure clarified butter and let it melt.

Add green cardamom,fennel seeds and mix well.

Add almonds and mix well.

Add coconut and fry for 1 minute.

Now add melted jaggery+milk mixture and mix well.

Add rice,give it a good mix and cook until it dries up.

Add pure clarified butter,cover and steam cook on low flame for 5 minutes & serve.
